Heritage Day Health Center
Many families wish to keep their loved one encircled by their family's loving home but find that those desires conflict with their need to work or care for others outside the home. They cannot comfortably or safely leave their loved one home alone.
Adult day care could be the answer. Willow Brook is proud to host a Heritage Day Health Center at
our Village. Heritage is a sister not-for-profit organization, based
in Columbus, that offers compassionate and caring day care services
to older adults following a philosophy very similar to our own.
Our partnership enables us to both achieve our missions of serving
older adults by pooling our resources. Willow Brook provides the
location, Heritage provides the staff.
The adult day care center is designed for seniors with cognitive and/or physical impairments in a setting that encourages activity and interaction. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Low-cost transportation may even be available.
For those who think the $54/day cost is prohibitive, Heritage uses a sliding fee scale based on income, and nobody is turned away because of inability to pay. This is possible because of the subsidies available through Passport, Senior Choices, the Veterans Administration, the United Way and others.
